Review Thread

Ummm okay not sure where I should post this, so I guess that I will post it here. I have an important question that has been bothering me for a while now, so I thought I would get y'all's opinions first. Shouldn't we all be posting disclaimers on our stories? I have, but is it enough? Should we be posting fanfiction at all? It is copyrighted, but does the disclaimer make it alright? I thought maybe you guys would know something or could find out for me. It's really been bothering me, so I might take my story down tomarow till I know for sure if it's alright. Thanks. In fact, I think I will go ahead and take the story down for a while. I will redo it and fix it up then if it's alright I will repost it.

I don't see anything wrong with our stories. It IS after all a fanfiction forum. As long as you don't plagerise, and make up your own stories-or at least make it very emphatic that it's someone elses work and that it's just a mere novelization, it should be fine. You'd have to plagerise in order to be doing something wrong, but I don't think any of us have done that (at least i know that I haven't).

Oh man! This is such a bummer. It sounds like to me like it is technically illegal to write fanfiction because of the copyright laws. Read these and tell me what y'all think. CLICK HERE CLICK HERE It's probably alright to still post stories, but I'm not sure I will. Oh man! This stinks.

I'm going to keep posting on mine. i made it up in my head, there is no plagerism what so ever in it, and I'm also planning on sending it one day to Lucasbooks(when i feel brave enough) so I'm not going to stress out about it being either legal or illegal. (It's legal BTW)

Just because everyone is doing it, it doesn't make it right. But as long as we have disclaimers and are not making money off of it, it shouldn't be a problem. But if you feel guilty about it, you don't have to post the rest.

I agree, just because everyone does something don't make it right. But with this, i really don't see the point in stressing out about it. It's on a fan-fiction forum, we don't plagerise, and even if it was illegal (which it isn't), the SW people have a lot of other stuff to worry about than a couple of fans posting something in their minds about what would be cool in SW.

Well if you don't mind, I'm going to call you Boba since you tend to keep your usernames for a long time. The only reason I keep calling Jacen as Jacen is because he changes his usernames to fast.

I'll probably stay as Grievous as well. If I did change to anybody though, it'd probably be GeneralRahmKota505, CadBane505, or GrandAdmiralThrawn505. I proabaly won't change though since Grievous is my fav character out of all of them.
